Favourite Korean Actresses & the Film That Made Me Love Them:
Park Min-Young: I'll Go to You When the Weather is Fine
I was first introduced to Park Min-Young in her iconic role as Secretary Kim in 'Why Secretary Kim?', however, I began to truly appreciate her acting in 'I'll Go to You when the Weather is Fine' after which I immediately watched her other series, 'Her Private Life'.
Park Min-Young has this admirable chemistry with all of her co-stars that
makes it seem as if all of them fall in love with her. The depth of her character in the titled drama is what really captured me and made me excited to see all of her various works.
Han So-Hee: Nevertheless
Although I was not a huge fan of how this drama played out, it was the first time I saw Han So-Hee act and I did truly love it. I was completely enamoured with her. The series that made me appreciate her, even more, was 'My Name'. I am very excited to see more acting from her, thus, I am very eager to see 'Soundtrack 1' which aired recently.
Chae Soo-Bin: Sweet and Sour
I was first introduced to Chae Soo-Bin in her drama 'I am Not a Robot', which was one of the first few kdramas I viewed. Although I can vaguely recall my emotions while watching that series, I know collectively from also watching 'Sweet and Sour' that she is a great actress who can make you tear up. I cannot wait to start 'Rookie Cops' which ended recently.
Shin Se-Kyun: Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung
Actress Shin Se-Kyun always portray strong-willed characters who always stand up for themselves and others. This role seems so natural to her which I believe makes her so admirable. I believe she has great chemistry with her costars and her characters always inspire me to be authentic and confident.
Park Bo-Young: Doom at Your Service
I must admit that I initially did not have intentions of including Park Bo-young in this list, however, while reviewing my kdrama completed watchlist, I realized that I have seen many of Ms Park's works. Besides her amazing chemistry with her costars and her ability, like Park Min-Young, to make her costars fall in love with her, Park Bo-Young has incredible acting skills that make you want to cry hysterically when she cries. There is not one film or series of hers that I did not enjoy. She always successfully forces viewers to sympathize and empathize with her characters, thus, I believe that she truly is phenomenal and iconic.
